Wanted to create some small paintings for my new office cubicle.
Last Sunday I ransached my cupboard to find this cute little 6 inches X 6 inches box canvas.
I decided to do a sea scape this time on this one to make it look larger than life :-)
30 minutes was not that bad...I must say this is one of my quickest art on canvas.
I hope this tiny one would suit my desk space at the new office !!
I plan to make a lot of such little ones in the next 2 months.
Let me know if u guys like it and want to buy some...

September Post...
People , here I come with the September post !
The canvas paintings have been framed and finally given some space on the wall. Lot of space to fill yet. But this is just the beginning :-)
These ones were long pending. The urge to finish them and get them framed was burning within me for months now. I started with the Jamini Roy series last year. But the collection never seemed to have taken shape until now.
Parallely I have been working on several other projects too.
I am really guilty of not being able to post very often.
But I promise to post some interesting ones in the coming months.
Enjoy this months post:-))))

Bling is the word of the month...
I have fallen in love with colored sequences.
My experiments with sequence work on fabric have been pretty good. Yet to explore more in this genre.
Here are some of the pics of the project in progress...Will post the finished work very soon.

Another one :-)
March has been a quiet month for me, with respect to Bhuumi.
But I have managed to finish one more from the 'Jamini Roy' collection. This time for a friend, all the way from France :-)

Jamini Roy Paintings
This time I would like to feature some of my paintings inspired by a famous Bengali artist, Jamini Roy.
I happen to see his paintings on a art exhibition brochure, and instantly fell in love with his style. Its so distinct and simple. The bold colors and the features of a Bengali women in his paintigns are just adorable.
A living room wall with these paintings set in different sizes would be awesome...
I have attempted to try my hands on this style and here they are. Some more in this series to follow soon.

This is the first one of the series. It caught my attention as soon as I saw it and I was just waiting to put it on canvas :-)
I love her eyes and nose ring ;-)
