Jamini Roy Paintings

This time I would like to feature some of my paintings inspired by a famous Bengali artist, Jamini Roy.
I happen to see his paintings on a art exhibition brochure, and instantly fell in love with his style. Its so distinct and simple. The bold colors and the features of a Bengali women in his paintigns are just adorable.
A living room wall with these paintings set in different sizes would be awesome...

I have attempted to try my hands on this style and here they are. Some more in this series to follow soon.

This is the first one of the series. It caught my attention as soon as I saw it and I was just waiting to put it on canvas :-)

I love her eyes and nose ring ;-)

This week-end I experimented with my new Fashion Maker...
This time no paints..only fabric and thread...was amazing!

I just had this design lingering in my mind for long now. I thought its time to work on it.
And here is the outcome. My first cushion cover out of my new Fasihion maker.Hope you like it :-)

Have a great week ahead all of you...
