I wanted to do this post a month back. But lazy as I am this post comes to you a month later. But better late than never.
With the current menace of garbage in the city I thought this was the right time to do this post.
Reduction in the usage of plastic can reduce the threat of non-biodegradable waste in our eco system.
I have always wondered why it is so difficult for people to reduce the use of plastic and start using cloth bags. May be because plastic is easily available, inexpensive and more than that we are habituated to use them for everything. From vegetables to clothes, from books to toothbrush, everything is carried in plastic.
How difficult is to carry your own shopping bag when you leave home?
I just happen to stitch a few cloth bags out of the leftover cloth used for my new sofa.
The ones I would like to feature in this post is with block printing on kora cloth.
The blocks were bought at an exhibition a year back which at last were put to use.
Simple, reusable, washable and durable eco-friendly bags...
A Tote bag with a denim sling, block print designs (on both sides) and some embellishments.
A shopping bag with block printing (on both sides)
